My main activity is the weaving of tapestry. This technics goes back to centuries and was developed from the kopt kilim-technics. It is called gobelin as well but this way many mean it incorrectly embroidered gobelin. It is made by a design painted on paper and completed on a vertical weaving loom. Often several coloured thin threads are woven together to form really colourful pictures. One square-meter area is often prepared for months because of its meticulosity. My largest work till date is 200x300 cm. |
